Notably when the computer sits in the bedroom with its flashing lights cutting through the darkness, keeping me awake. Still, that's fine, rest is an alternative.

You're unsure about turning off and restarting your 28U rack. Let me help clarify!

The GPU signal is consuming most of the startup time. My PALIT GTX 980ti takes a while to activate, and I've faced some UEFI problems with it. It might be other components slowing it down, but that's the only thing I've identified so far. The boot duration with these specs is 20 seconds, and it rises to 26 seconds when the external hard drive is connected via USB. I plan to sell this PC soon. The motherboard is a PALIT GTX 980ti Z97, equipped with 16 GB RAM, DDR3 memory, a Sandisk SSD, plus a 240 GB OS drive and a 1 TB HDD.

I refreshed my bios and reset the CMOS, which reduced boot time to 20-25 seconds. I suspect the GPU might be the issue. I plan to check the product tomorrow to see if updating a driver from Palit can speed things up, or I might explore other fixes. This problem is really bothering me, and I need to resolve it soon.

20 to 25 seconds is typical, I won’t be concerned as long as the boot screen loads smoothly and you’re not stuck on a dark screen during startup. My actual boot time is 20 seconds, but roughly 5 to 10 seconds are used for Windows setup, not BIOS/POST.

The majority of the usage occurs in the POST / endpoint before Windows and BIOS.
