Boot Time
Boot Time
I recently purchased my new PC about a month ago. It features a 240 GB NVMe SSD for booting, an 1 TB Seagate HDD, and a 500 GB Toshiba HDD. The boot time is recorded at 23.4 seconds in the Task Manager. This is notably longer than the 15-second benchmark mentioned in some discussions about NVMe drives. I’m seeking advice on how to improve this performance. The system specs include a Ryzen 3 3100 MSI B450 Pro M2 Max motherboard, Zotac GeForce GTX 1650, a Super Apacer 8 x 2 16 GB 3200 MHz card, a 240 GB M.2 NVMe SSD, and a 1 TB Seagate HDD, powered by a Thermaltake 400W PSU.
Turn off unnecessary startup programs such as Steam and Epic Games to speed up the boot process.
Boot is lesser than 15 seconds or not. POST take some time and in many cases there is nothing you can do. Disabling services like steam also don't help because they are loaded after system starts. That 15 seconds is mostly marketing ads. You should focus on your system real speed after you boot your computer. If you want to wait less time when you back home, configure wake on lan and turn on your computer using phone.
