Boot sequence initiates with solid CPU and DRAM illumination.
Computer details: CPU is Ryzen 7800x3D, motherboard is MSI MPG B650 Edge WiFi Gaming, RAM is TEAMGROUP T-Force Delta RGB DDR5 32GB, GPU is maxsun GeForce RTX 4070 Ti. Hello to anyone reading this. I've been occupied recently, missing my machine for a while. Upon returning, I noticed no display, all components were active and lights were on, and both the CPU and RAM lights were illuminated. Every restart attempt left me without a screen and unable to access anything. I've tried several fixes: removing all RAM and using one stick in the second slot, swapping CPU sticks, and clearing CMOS. At this stage, I suspect a motherboard or CPU issue. Any advice would be greatly appreciated! Edited October 27, 2025 by MrKabota
Have you attempted to start the system? It seems to match the image you provided. If that's the case, you'll need to install a CPU cooler. It won't function properly without one.
I would position the cooler on top of the CPU. You don't need to fasten it during initial testing. Ensure the case is resting flat on its side. Inspect all connections carefully. Verify the CPU is securely placed alongside the RAM. Without a cooler, the CPU will overheat quickly. The system should undergo memory training efficiently, compatible with most motherboards. This CPU and board should function without requiring a BIOS update—updates can be applied later. You should have one RAM stick in slot A2 and another in B2. I've observed that during system assembly, sometimes a dedicated GPU with an empty drive is beneficial. It occasionally took longer to see results, whereas other times it worked smoothly. Always confirm the CPU has adequate cooling before proceeding.
I'll try it. The system has been running for a while now and suddenly stopped unexpectedly.
