I see, many people in the UK are facing similar issues lately. I turned off my PC to escape the heat and tried to restart it, but kept getting stuck in BIOS. After some research, I realized my M.2 card wasn’t showing up in the boot priority list anymore, though it was still detected through MSI’s board explorer. I decided to tackle the problem myself by turning on and off various settings like CSM/UEFI, secure boot, TPM, etc., but still couldn’t resolve it. Eventually, I removed and replaced the card, testing both slots, but it still didn’t appear in the boot priority no matter what I tried. Any advice would be really helpful. The BIOS version is E7C56AMS.A70 and it seems to be running Windows 11, though I’m not sure. The specs I have are MSI B550-A PRO, Ryzen 7 5800X, and Samsung 970 EVO Plus.

I replaced the existing drive with a new one and then reinstalled it.

Moved to the same position and then attempted the second m.2 slot on the board. No success in either case.

Updated the BIOS recently but hasn't resolved the issue with any settings combination.

You’ve already tried basic fixes and the system restarts without issues. It seems Windows might have failed during an update, possibly due to a boot loader problem. I’m considering using a recovery media with Windows 11.iso and checking the boot options. There’s also the possibility of TPM configuration affecting it. I’m unsure if your setup is properly validated for Windows 11.

A Windows update was scheduled, yes. I’ll look into any good Windows 11 recovery options but am worried about the current situation. I really wish I hadn’t accepted the upgrade. Almost certain my system was fine for testing, but who can say about Windows 11? Thanks for your feedback.

I’d attempt to switch into recovery mode and remove the most recent update. However, the drive should remain visible in the BIOS.

I worked through a lot of troubles, but I believe I resolved it. For those who face the same issue, try resetting your CMOS. That was the final step I took, and now everything seems to function properly again. I hope this prevents others from dealing with formatting problems or other frustrations.
