Boot loop on motherboard PC issue
So a few weeks ago I was just using my computer and it froze. After turning it off and on again, it kept looping back to the same state. When I turned it on for a moment, it would power up briefly before shutting down again. My RAM didn’t light up and the fans spun for about two seconds. I took it to a shop who said my power supply was dead. I got a warranty and tried everything else. Eventually I removed the motherboard and all the cables. Plugging in the 24-pin connector made the RAM turn on and the fan spin. After installing the CPU, everything spun but the numbers showed 00. Later I noticed a red light under the CPU power area—please see the photo below. Is the issue with the motherboard or a cable? Any advice would be appreciated!
Wait. You provided an image of the CPU power plug indicator. It indicates no power. What’s the problem? Plugging it in without a CPU will trigger a CPU debug error light. Once the CPU is connected, it should complete this boot sequence. Make sure you install a CPU cooler to prevent overheating and potential damage. The board will cut off during overheating and might not restart immediately. Apart from that, I’m unsure what else is missing in your setup besides several missing components.
It never existed before. I connected the CPU, powered it on, and the screen started looping endlessly. No images appear—just repeated on/off cycles.
The board often repeats the same action—turning on and off several times before posting after a brief delay of 30 to 60 seconds. Once you reset it and clear the CMOS, observe its behavior again after waiting a few minutes.
So do you think it’s a motherboard problem or cpu? Or could it be anything else
Nothing is connected to the board... It seems like you want to return the item and CPU together, but the system won’t run.
