Boot help
Boot help
I installed an NVMe card and set up Windows 10 on it. The previous drive, which held your Windows installation, was formatted but still connected. When you try to boot, it doesn’t work unless the old drive is plugged in. With an ASUS motherboard, check the boot order settings to ensure the correct drive is prioritized.
Perform a clean setup including just NVMe. It might be frustrating, but it should likely resolve the problem.
In the worst scenario, obtaining the BIOS to read the correct boot sector requires a complete reinstall. Erase all partitions on the NVMe drive since Windows will generate everything anew. This could be the fastest option. You might also attempt modifying the installation process, though it would likely take longer than a simple reinstall.
Success! Just created a new thread, maybe you need some help with that, hehe.
