You're facing issues with your M.2 SSD not showing up in Windows boot priority, even though it has Windows installed on it. It seems the system isn't recognizing or properly mounting the drive. Try checking the drive status, ensuring it's seated correctly, and verifying that Windows is properly installed. If the problem persists, consider checking BIOS settings or reinstalling the OS to resolve any boot issues.

It’s recommended to disconnect the power or data port on the SSD before reinstalling Windows on another drive. If the boot file isn’t loading automatically, you might need to adjust the boot priority in the ASUS BIOS, assuming the M.2 unit is properly seated.

You’re dealing with an M.2 drive that’s already installed but not recognized as a storage device, making it impossible to use for installing Windows.

Power on via Setup (BIOS) – is this M.2 compatible? If not, it might need re-seating or could be faulty. When it appears in the BIOS under Where Would You Like to Install Windows, it isn’t listed and requests a driver. Download the Intel Rapid Storage Technology driver from the provided link and place it on your USB flash drive before installation. When prompted to search for a driver, select the IRST driver. Then it will detect the M.2 device.

I place it onto a USB drive and connect it to the PC, then use the Windows Media Player tool to install Windows on my M.2 drive.
