Boost your NR5103EV2's signal by adjusting the antenna settings.
Hey there, I see you're experiencing some inconsistent 5G performance with your NR5103EV2 hub. It sounds like the signal quality has changed over time, especially since you switched providers a few years ago. You've already tried a Poynting XPOL-1 V2 antenna and some TS9-SMA adapters, but the issues persist—random slowdowns, drops to 4G, and brief outages. It might be worth checking if the new antenna you purchased is better suited for your setup. A directional antenna could help stabilize the connection indoors. Let me know if you want suggestions!
It's designed for outdoor use, so placing it inside will likely reduce its effectiveness.
Yeah, fair cop. I wish I could use it outdoors. To be fair I was able to reach out a window for 5 minutes but all my tests were just as unstable. Do you have any suggestions for alternatives?
Much more efficient design. Over 95% of the signal energy won’t travel toward the tower, resulting in wasted power and reduced effectiveness. Consider a high-gain directional antenna with gain near 20 dBi or higher. A 20 dBi typically corresponds to a narrower beam around 25 degrees or less, which should boost performance. Omni-directional antennas only capture horizontal signals, unlike directional ones that focus on specific angles.
