When near that point on Ethernet, opt for a wired link. It offers far better stability and dependability compared to WiFi, and you can easily connect your console and computer within the same room.

There are properties around £60 to £70k, but they’re located in disadvantaged neighborhoods with high drug use and poor internet access. A computer would be a big plus, making it a challenging environment without financial stability in the UK.

I usually experience the 150kbps connection over Ethernet, but sometimes Wi-Fi fails completely. When wireless is involved, the connection drops about half the time, leaving LAN as my only reliable option.

And this refers to connecting directly into the ISP’s modem/gateway. How is your setup configured? Which network devices are you using—what models do they have? Perform a wireless scan with WiFi Analyzer and share the visual results for both 2.4GHz and 5GHz frequencies. Mark the SSIDs and tell us which one belongs to you.

I tried but it was tough, especially during lockdown. I'm not near many places, and while a cafe with Wi-Fi helped a bit for some games, it was still about a 15-minute walk through muddy paths and hills with rain most days. Not exactly great conditions.

It's a pretty strong statement. It feels like you're suggesting avoiding communication or seeking an easy fix, maybe even a quick solution without real effort.

It's mainly farmland where I reside, with no trails until reaching a main road. The road is breezy and I don't want to be struck by tractors. I just wish for some quiet gaming time, not needing to visit a cafe three times a week just to update the game. Ideally I'd want something like a stadium, but it won't connect. I'm not a lazy teenager who spends all day relaxing; I contribute around the house. Recently, I spent nearly a year gathering parts for my build. I assembled the case from scratch using wood and tools I found in a farmer's barn. I realized I don't need much—just help with chores, like removing roof tiles, pressure washing them, and hauling them back up scaffolding. I'm not some carefree 17-year-old who enjoys being around all day. I do my part, just as my parents are still stuck in the past. Life isn't terrible for me, but I just want to play a game maybe during the same week it launches.
