Hey guys, So on Christmas Eve last Saturday I ordered my motherboard for my first PC build. Unfortunately I ordered it through Newegg since nobody else had stock. Finally on Tuesday the 27th it said "Packaging" and stayed there until late Wednesday the 28th. Finally yesterday it said "Label Created - Waiting for Carrier Pickup"... and has stayed that way ever since. The tracking# they give me they say is for UPS, but looks more like a USPS or FedEx one (doesn't start with "1Z"). UPS has no record of even a label created, USPS says they're waiting for the package, and FedEx has a weird no origin "in transit" with no destination or updates. I contacted Newegg 2 times yesterday and once today. The 2 yesterday basically told me "its not delayed until its physically past the delivery date", and basically gave me a sassy "you'll get it when you get it" kind of reply. No, I didn't pay extra for rush shipping, because the "estimated delivery date" on both was today the 29th. The one today basically said my only recourse is to file a claim, which could take 1-2 weeks or more. What should I do? I'm honestly upset because I planned on putting it all together Saturday and spend my extended weekend setting it up and playing. I do not have a local PC store with an ITX LGA 1700 motherboard in stock, not even a crappy one.

I would withdraw the order and purchase a second-hand item close to me.

There are no local options that fit the parts and case you need. Past scams on used components made me hesitant, so I’m not comfortable buying secondhand. Right now, Newegg is the only place with available stock for this motherboard. Other sellers only had much pricier models in stock.

Still waiting on my motherboard... it finally "moved" on the 30th... and arrived in my regional city on the 4th... but since is stuck. UPS says they handed it off to USPS, USPS says they don't have it. Both refuse to look into it as they don't show as having it. This first PC build has been a nightmare.

You're developing components that aren't available nearby, which isn't ideal. Contact UPS and USPS for assistance—they handle such requests.

It appears in a previous discussion. It's a Gigabyte Aorus Z690I Ultra Lite (rev1.0), a last generation model but still priced similarly only where available. USPS isn't allowing tracking updates as it shows no receipt, while UPS claims it's with them. Newegg recently advised patience. I plan to contact them tonight and check their response.

You need evidence showing UPS delivered it to the recipient. That proof will assist USPS. Clearly, you're handling this yourself, so best of luck moving things forward.

FedEx and UPS rely on USPS through SmartPost or SurePost for delivery. It appears there may have been a mix-up during the handover. The issue probably lies with USPS itself.

I just spoke with Newegg and they said it’s not their responsibility because of the holidays. I’m questioning their shipping timeline—5 business days and still missing the package from its shipping date. With other orders I placed the same day, UPS and USPS delivered in just 2 days once shipped. I asked if they could arrange a NextDayAir shipment, since a 3-unit package usually costs around $15. They mentioned they could file a claim that would take 5 to 7 business days, and if it was lost or missing, they’d send a replacement via USP Mail. In short, they told me to either wait another 2–3 weeks or just keep waiting. That’s not good customer service.
