I just found an eBay ad for a rare Socket 478 to LGA775 board. It includes a motherboard with slots for both RAM types, PCIe and AGP. Unfortunately, it comes from London, but it’s interesting to note how uncommon such a thing was back then or even now. The listing is for the “PCchips 915p-A Hybrid Motherboard” along with an adapter. I’m not sure if I can post a listing here directly, but searching for PCchips 915p-A should show up early in results.

did you have a question about motherboards/cpu/memory or is this a misposted status update?

Is this a question or just a "Look at this"? There were AM2/LGA775 motherboards, motherboards with both DDR and SDRAM, motherboards with PCIe and AGP... lots of odd ones

There are quite a few odd MBs out there. About 775 are collectors for the AGP setup on 98SE builds. I noticed a duel socket model with 775 units, some featuring 6 RAM slots, DDR and DDR2/ DDR2/ DDR3 options. There are laptops, console CPUs, and even one with an integrated 1060. Some models have quad CPUs too. You can sometimes swap in CPUs to run like a 771 in a 775 model. Edited January 15, 2024 by thrasher_565

It’s mainly observing this point, since I wasn’t sure it existed. Unfortunately, I had no idea where to share it.

There seems to be a "General Discussion" section, probably better to chat directly there. The main focus depends on what people are saying and the current discussions. Mods can move or delete posts even if they should stay, so it really depends on how they feel about the situation. A voting system for mods would be helpful to decide whether something should be removed.

Many individuals were present; they weren't particularly uncommon.
