Hey, I thought I was getting a PS4 for a console launch (similar to Skate), but it turns out it's actually going to be available on PC and mobile devices. (At least for now). Anyone want to know more?
They're offering a pre-order for PC at $20 as the entry level, with additional tiers available at $30 for mobile versions and beyond. It seems they cap the total at around 5,000 pre-orders, though it's unclear if this applies per tier or overall. The project appeared well-developed when it launched on Kickstarter, with a planned April release mentioned in their original announcement. I'm not sure if they missed that timing due to funding issues or my timing. I haven't checked recently, so I'll do further research before deciding. They also showcased a strong focus on physics and controls mechanics.
Never heard of this game until now. If they really succeed in making a working BMX game, then that would be awesome.. No way would I be willing to put down $20 on a game that has this little information. It looks like the game still needs a ton of work. I watched the video and something that gets me is that what they call a "basic hop" we call a bunny hop and their "bunny hop" we call a J-hop. I don't know who is correct.
Seems like the system is in bad shape. Probably a 3Dfx 4MB VGA card would work for this game.
