Bluetooth operates without locating devices, yet it detects a Bluetooth link between a smartphone and headphones.
I purchased a USB dongle (Orico BTA-408) to enable Bluetooth on my PC, but it doesn’t detect any devices. I’m attempting to connect my Edifier W800BT 4.0 headphones, yet it can’t find anything. Pairing the headphones with my smartphone or laptop works fine. I suspect the dongle functions correctly because when paired with my phone and headphones, I see “EDIFIER BLE,” indicating a Bluetooth link between them. If I disconnect that connection, the PC loses the ability to detect devices again, which suggests a potential Windows issue. I’ve tried various fixes and checked numerous forums, but nothing resolves the problem. One workaround that helps many users is editing regedit and changing Windows NT > CurrentVersion from 6.3 to 6.2, though restarting afterward brings it back to 6.3, making it hard to verify. Anyone have ideas on how to fix this?
