I own a Dell Inspiron 7386 that I recently reinstalled Windows. It functions adequately except for Bluetooth connectivity. Previously, I connected Bluetooth devices, but they stopped working after a restart. I've tried various solutions—using Dell's SupportAssist, downloading drivers from the manufacturer, adjusting startup settings, and even upgrading to Windows 11 and BIOS updates—but the issue persists upon rebooting. Any advice would be invaluable!

You can obtain the required Bluetooth driver from Intel or their specific cards, or via the DELL support download site. If you installed the incorrect or conflicting version, consider reinstalling and verifying the correct driver for your Bluetooth module. Older systems may struggle with newer drivers, and vice versa. It’s also worth checking if your Bluetooth device requires updates.

Before the "fresh install," everything functioned properly, right? Which Bluetooth drivers were you able to obtain? It looks like there are two options listed on Dell's site. https://www.dell.com/support/home/en-ae/...op/drivers Regarding Bluetooth problems, I can't confirm this specific case, but you might try resetting your Bluetooth adapter. I've used a similar tool before for fixing such issues. It still works on Windows 11 with newer BT 5.0 dongles despite being from 2012. Install BluetoothCLTools-1.2.0.56. After that, open PowerShell/terminal/cmd as administrator and run: btpair -u This should clear all Bluetooth devices and reset the system. You can also check other options on the same page, like btcom, which might assist further. Or consider using the built-in driver, which you likely had by default without installing anything. Windows 10 and especially Windows 11 usually come with most drivers (you probably had the one for your device). https://bluetoothinstaller.com Just download BluetoothDriverInstaller_x64.exe

I already downloaded the Bluetooth driver from Dell's support site. I'm not sure which Bluetooth module your system uses and there might be a simple way to check. It seems like the issue could be with the stock Inspiron 13, and your other PC works fine with Bluetooth devices.

Uncertain about the previous version's compatibility. Acquired from a used source, possibly causing OS issues necessitating a fresh install. Not a dongle—used the Bluetooth CLI command but got no output. Attempted to retrieve the standard BT driver, which was already present. Planning another reinstall to test.

It might be that the Wi-Fi/BT card is defective. Several of them have stopped working over time. This can happen.

This might happen when the system first restarts after a reinstall or BIOS update, causing a brief improvement in performance.

You removed the Bluetooth driver, disabled the Bluetooth setting in BIOS, and then reactivated it. After turning it back on, it appears to remain active even after a reboot. Thank you for your assistance!

Originally planned to share this later, but it failed after I restarted. Unclear why I didn’t restart before the celebration, but now I’m stuck again. No idea how to fix it. Hopefully I won’t have to deal with it anymore.
