Bluetooth functionality has stopped working unexpectedly.
I've been operating this computer for a couple of months and the motherboard (B550M plus Wi-Fi II) includes built-in Bluetooth. I've connected my AirPods until about a week ago, after which the Bluetooth icon vanished from my tray and the settings show Bluetooth is off with no way to restore it. Troubleshooting suggests the device doesn't support Bluetooth and that option isn't available. I'm puzzled since I've used it for months and don't know how or why it disappeared. If anyone has advice on resolving this, it would be helpful.
Manager doesn't display Bluetooth unless you navigate to View>Show Hidden Devices
I experienced the same issue recently, just a few months ago. I attempted all possible solutions without success. It would vanish suddenly and then reappear. It seems you might be using an MSI motherboard. Most people who faced this problem were also using MSI boards, like the B550 model. The only workaround I found was buying a USB Bluetooth receiver, which has worked since then. I've tried everything else, even on a Linux installation on another drive.
Assume you've already rebooted the machine. Before taking more extreme steps such as removing drivers, verify in the BIOS whether Bluetooth is turned off. You can find guidance on this at Intel's support page regarding wireless products.
I've attempted to reinstall the drivers, but the process went wrong because I uninstalled them first. I checked both the manufacturer's site and Intel.com, but I still can't reinstall them successfully. The Bluetooth dropdown vanishes from Device Manager even after showing hidden devices.
Check the system restore linked to a previous Bluetooth-enabled state. This can help determine if the issue resolves things. I saw similar advice on Reddit, and it seemed effective for me. Just turn off the PC, disconnect the power cable from the PSU, hold the power button for about 30 seconds, then reconnect the power. Restart the computer. Some users suggest static electricity might be the cause, and this process can clear interference.
