Is the app only audio-based? It seems likely, though I couldn’t find a clear mention of it in the post.

I replaced the Xbox wireless adapter and controllers with the official one placed near the bedroom door. This caused ongoing connectivity issues, making me wary of cheaper BT adapters. I’m expecting a similar problem with a more affordable adapter. A Gulikit Kingkong 2 Pro is arriving soon to replace my XB1ES1 because of this concern.

I’d likely receive this PCIe card if you’re really aiming for Bluetooth 5.0 Tenda AX3000 with WiFi 6 – it includes dual antennas, gigabit speed, and works with Windows 10. If you skip the Wi-Fi, the USB adapter should suffice. Your choice is yours.

Thanks for your quick response. The Asus PCIe adapter stood out because of its strong suggestion in this discussion: most PCIe adapters come with built-in WiFi. I’ve tried USB "nano" adapters before and found the signal range to be around 4 meters at best. Wouldn’t it make more sense to pick a USB model that has an antenna included?

It seems you're considering a PCIe adapter because you're facing issues with your current setup. Since you're in a colder climate, insulation might matter. This adapter could offer better reliability than a standard USB connection.
