Bluetooth connection via M.2 interface
Bluetooth connection via M.2 interface
I intend to purchase a Chinese card using the Intel AX200 module. I can choose a basic setup or a PCIe option. The PCIe adapter acts as an M.2-to-PCIe converter and includes a port meant for linking to a USB header on the motherboard for Bluetooth 5.0 functionality. My concern is: if I opt for the barebone version along with antennas, will Bluetooth still work?
It refers to an initial design or prototype without full completion, including any antenna components.
It depends on whether the port or adapter you're connecting is USB-compatible.
Generally, the keying for these cards differs from high-performance NVMe drives, so verify the required key and what’s available on your motherboard (some boards include slots for add-ons). Usually, a WiFi/BT card uses keys A and/or E that also carry USB signals, whereas a standard PCIe x4/SATA SSD connector uses key M, which lacks USB and prevents even inserting a wireless adapter.
You're welcome! It seems the manual doesn't specify the key, but I guess the M key works. I'll go with that and purchase the PCIe adapter.
