I haven't found any Bluetooth 5.0 USB adapters that seem genuine, so I'm thinking about using a PCIe card or holding off until a company like TP-Link introduces one.

It needs a value of 5.0 for compatibility. What operating system are you using? You can try 4.0 instead if needed.
