Hello. I designed this system in my own way: MSI B550 Tomahawk Ryzen 9 5950x with 32GB RAM (one brand Corsair, another Adata); both are 8GB sticks but I omitted the Adata ones to test. I used a 1000W PSU and an Nvidia GTX 3090 OC with air cooling. I built it in January this year and initially ran Windows 10, later switched to Windows 11. I experienced random shutdowns and blue screens without a clear reason. The PC moved to another room and kept blue-screening without specific causes. Here’s what happened: I reinstalled Windows 11, removed the RAM modules, updated BIOS, fixed the chipset, updated drivers, downgraded to a fresh Windows 10 install, ran disk checks—no issues found. All components are brand new. I’ve attached a dump file (053023-11859-01.dmp) with event view errors: SCEP Certificate enrollment initialization for WORKGROUP\DESKTOP-CSDOIRH$ via the provided link. The error indicated a missing AMD key ID. This has been resolved, and everything appears intact.
Insert one data stick into slot A2 (second from the CPU) and start it at 2133mhz to check if problems disappear.
Ram configured at 3000MHz, I'll verify the PBO. PBO was set to AUTO but I've turned it off now. I'll observe how long it functions. Planning to reach out to AMD.
I didn’t increase the processor speed on this machine, didn’t think I needed any. It began unexpectedly. At first, I encountered issues with Prime Video while streaming a show, especially after using my VPN, and then the problems kept coming up. I just don’t want to disassemble the computer twice if AMD sends a replacement.
Auto was originally meant to refer to Off by AMD, but many motherboard makers switched it to mean On since it suggested higher performance ratings. This change might depend on BIOS updates. PBO tends to automatically overclock aggressively.
