Hi all,
I have been getting constant blue screening for the last week. It stopped for awhile, and now it has gotten to the point it’s every 5 mins or less. Errors have been:
IRQL not less or equal
hyper vision error
And ntoskrnl
I have tried:
dism" and "sfc /scannow" and found no results
A RAM test showing nothing
A full system restore
Nothing has fixed the issue. Here is a log with my mini dump:
https://www.mediafire.com/file/t5wroezxp...1.dmp/file
This computer is less than a year old and a MSI laptop running nvidia.

Hello there, new member! I attempted to download your zip file, but both times it appears to be corrupted. Are you certain you uploaded the correct file to MediaFire?

Hey! Thanks for the welcome. I'm a bit confused—maybe because I compressed the file too much? I just tried uploading with only one backup, which is what happened during the system restore. Appreciate your help!

The CPU was operating at 2995MHz when it crashed. The incident stemmed from a misaligned instruction pointer. Typically, I’d assume overheating was the cause, but I’m unable to view the thermal zones in the mini dump to check the CPU sensor data. There seem to be some problems with your operating system. It appears you have an outdated version of Norton Security installed. Previous versions were problematic and the uninstaller failed to remove it properly, leaving drivers that prevented other antivirus software from installing. Most of the files date back to 2022; Norton had a special uninstaller for removing these, but you weren’t aware of it and had to use their website. You might also try downloading and running Microsoft autoruns64.exe to locate and disable or delete old drivers.

Additionally, there are several drivers present from the driverstore, indicating a deleted driver was reinstalled after it had been removed. This suggests that Windows plug and play was active at the time, and the driver was restored from a hidden folder shortly after deletion.

You may wish to update your Intel chipset and Intel Rapid Storage drivers directly through your motherboard manufacturer or via the official Intel support site: https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/...etect.html. This could resolve voltage issues and the unusual underclocking you observed.

Also, verify for updated BIOS from your motherboard vendor, as some fixes are included in the BIOS and drivers must align with the BIOS version.

It appears some outdated NVIDA drivers are installed; consider checking for a motherboard-specific update. If the device is built-in, you can obtain it directly from the NVIDIA download page.

You have two drivers for a USB 4 router, which is unusual since most users connect external routers.

My best guess points to a thermal issue, possibly linked to the underclocking. Note: if the GPU consumes excessive power, the CPU voltage can drop, leading to problems that mimic thermal issues. Generally, the CPU clock doesn’t underclock unless overheating occurs.

(Reference: this is based on the old Norton Security version)

Search for guidance on removing Norton from your PC here: https://support.norton.com/sp/en/us/home.../v15972972

Afterward, you can run another antivirus scanner if desired.

Yah, after the factory reset I hadn't made any changes since the crash, but before that everything was working properly. I'm planning to try your advice and check if it resolves the issue. I remember Geforce was installed before the crash and its drivers were marked as up to date. Could you tell me where I can find the latest BIOS from my motherboard vendor? I'm not very comfortable with technology, so I don't know how to get that information. Also, during the update the blue screen kept appearing in non-fault areas. Would it help if I shared those dump logs as well?
