Blue screen error during Windows installation process
Hello everyone! I'm facing some problems setting up Windows. I can't install any version, even though I've tried Ubuntu twice. The live setup works perfectly, but when installing Windows it stalls around 2% to 5% and then crashes with a specific error message. I currently use a safe boot into Windows 7, which helps me get through the process. I have Windows 10, 8.1, and 7 ISO files burned onto three DVDs and a USB drive with Windows 10. I'm trying to figure out what's causing these issues. Any advice would be really helpful!
Have you explored alternatives to Windows? A few Linux liveCD distributions are available for free. You can simply browse them without needing to install anything. It’s just to check if the issue lies with Windows or another source.
Thanks for the reminder! I've already installed Ubuntu twice, but both attempts ended in failure. I can still run the live setup, yet I'm unable to complete the installation. I'm using Windows 7 Home Edition, which is running smoothly. It's puzzling why it's so difficult to install without entering safe mode.
It's not related to Windows issues. The Win 7 version might be functional just because it exists. The appearance of the system might not be significant.
It offers powerful diagnostic tools for advanced troubleshooting.
Are you looking for specific tools or programs to investigate this problem? I've already tried an SFC scan, but it came back normal. It seems like the issue might be related to hardware or drivers. Others might have useful suggestions.
Have you attempted using MemTest? It might indicate a memory problem. Consider installing it with just one RAM stick, and if it fails, swap it out for another in your set of four.
I tried it out myself. When all slots are full, the fans and lights begin to start, then shut off briefly and restart every 2 to 3 seconds. This happened after I filled the second slot, which I think might be faulty but I didn’t run a complete test. Appreciate the tips and I’ll let you know what I found!
