Block your Wi-Fi connection on Kubuntu.
Hi, I hope this helps. I’m French and I apologize for any errors. Over the past five months, Kubuntu has randomly logged me off from my Wi-Fi at various times—sometimes daily, sometimes after a couple of days. When I disconnect, it just stops the connection and shows a prompt. If I ignore that prompt, I can simply click connect again without entering my password, and the cycle repeats (the same app if I re-enter). Since I’m new to Linux, this is really confusing. I don’t have much help from the internet yet, and I’m looking for a reliable solution. I really need a stable connection because I use this computer for both gaming and as a NAS; it’s hard to understand why random disconnections aren’t practical here.
What device are you using for your WiFi? If you're on a laptop, what is its model? You can execute this command in the terminal and share the results here: lshw --short. Check if your KWallet is accessible and whether it's currently open. Attempt to reset your WiFi connection by deleting the existing network and reconnecting.
Enable the Wi-Fi connection via the command line. After that, you can access it through your desktop environment's graphical interface. Run the following command to display the name of the Wi-Fi interface installed on your system: $ sudo ip link show. By default, the kernel assigns generic names like eth0 for wired Ethernet or wlan0 for WiFi. To turn on the Wi-Fi interface, use this command: $ sudo ip link set wlan0 up * Remember to replace wlan0 with the actual name of your Wi-Fi interface.
That would suggest his internet was not working. The problem lies in the fact that he is repeatedly being removed.
If he can access the internet, the Wi-Fi setup includes the required components for connection. Possible issues might stem from: too great a distance from the modem, physical barriers, etc. Usually, though, the problem arises because the user hasn’t enabled the interface properly. It’s wise to verify the interface status first. Regardless, I advise against using custom drivers for the Wi-Fi module. Also, ensure the modem router settings are correct and confirm if a connection time limit is set for users or clients.

I got this from the command you sent. I guess you'r talking about KWalletManager, when I open it I only have this: I already tried that months ago, didn't work sadly. About this, I know for sure It's no a signal issue since I can connect to my wifi from a lot further than where my server is, it's also not a obstacle issue because I only have like 2 thin walls that the signal need to go trough (I'm getting full strengh on the server, with 300mb/s which is the same as my PC that do not have this problem). It's also not a modem router issue, this disconnecting only appen with my server and within all of the options of my router, I never saw something about time limits for connections. About the command you sent me (sudo ip link show) I got this, I don't understand anything on it lmao: 1: lo: <LOOPBACK,UP,LOWER_UP> mtu 65536 qdisc noqueue state UNKNOWN mode DEFAULT group default qlen 1000 link/loopback 00:00:00:00:00:00 brd 00:00:00:00:00:00 2: enp3s0: <NO-CARRIER,BROADCAST,MULTICAST,UP> mtu 1500 qdisc fq_codel state DOWN mode DEFAULT group default qlen 1000 link/ether d8:5e:d3:52:d9:f0 brd ff:ff:ff:ff:ff:ff 3: wlp1s0: <BROADCAST,MULTICAST,UP,LOWER_UP> mtu 1500 qdisc mq state UP mode DORMANT group default qlen 1000 link/ether 5c:a6:e6:c6:04:4f brd ff:ff:ff:ff:ff:ff Sorry for the lenght of that post ^^'
Enable the power-saving setting for the Wi-Fi interface. Execute the command: $ sudo ip link set wlp1s0 mode default
You ran the command and it seemed to function, at least without errors. Did you finish the process? It looks like people often mention power-saving mode as a possible solution, but their fixes didn’t work. It seems you might be onto something special.
I answered too quickly. After a few days I lost connection again, but this time I captured a photo of the interface: Traduction (au moins c'est ce que je peux faire lmao). La boîte de dialogue du mot de passe Wi-Fi - KDE Daemon Veuillez fournir le mot de passe pour le réseau sans fil "pifree". Pifree est mon réseau Wi-Fi. Quand cela apparaît, je me déconnecte. Je ne sais pas pourquoi. Maintenant je suis sûr que ce n'est pas une fonction d'économie d'énergie, car en plus des commandes que vous avez faites, un bot Discord a démarré en arrière-plan et manipulait le réseau toutes les minutes.
