I've been using Windows 10 since January and I've observed that Windows Update frequently updates device drivers independently. This can be frustrating when you prefer to retain specific older drivers because of problems with newer versions (for instance, the Nvidia driver 353.54 caused issues). Such behavior might also clash with other programs that provide driver updates, like GE Force Experience. I discovered a workaround, though it seems only a short-term fix—it could cause some trouble if you later replace hardware on your PC. Here’s how to proceed:

Step 1: Open the Start menu (or Cortana) and type "Devices and Printers."
Step 2: Find your PC in the list and right-click it. Choose "Device Installation Settings."
Step 3: Pick "No, let me choose what to do" and select "Never install driver software using Windows Update," then click Save.

This will prevent Windows Update from installing new drivers that might disrupt your system. I view this as a temporary solution, since enabling it again could complicate matters if you add new hardware later (such as sound cards or RAID cards). You may want to re-enable the feature during installation of new devices or install drivers manually from the manufacturer’s website. So far, this has helped avoid unwanted driver updates and kept GeForce Experience functioning smoothly.

You removed 353.30 due to issues where the GPU wasn't recognized.

The mod will stick it in place. I’ll do it right as soon as the update comes.

You might consider holding off for a week and purchasing Windows 10 Pro from g2a for around $30.
