I enjoy playing Counter-Strike: Global Offensive with my friends, and everything is fine during casual matches. However, when I switch to the competitive mode later in the game (around rounds 14 or 15), the screen turns completely white, my graphics card fan spins rapidly, and I need to reboot my computer in the hope of getting back into CSGO. My system specifications are an Intel G3258 processor running at 4.4 GHz, a GeForce GTX 660Ti that isn't overclocked, and a Gold-rated power supply providing 650 watts. It would be greatly appreciated if you could offer some assistance with this issue.

I've been spending a lot of time with Dirt Rally lately, and it runs smoothly except for one issue. The display shifts through a wide range of colors—red, blue, green, white, and orange—but when it turns black, my graphics card (a 660ti) significantly increases its processing power. I'm not sure how to resolve this problem. I’ve attempted numerous solutions, including reinstalling my Nvidia drivers, increasing the power supply to my processor, replacing the thermal paste on both my CPU and graphics card, adding two extra cooling fans, updating my operating system, and even reducing the GPU’s clock speed by 100 MHz on both the core and memory. I would really appreciate some assistance. 🙁

I'm experiencing crashes when using my graphics card—a 660ti—in both FurMark and games. This issue isn’t due to overclocking; I'm running it at stock speeds. My system includes a silver-rated 80+ power supply from Aerocool, a G3258 processor running at 3.8 GHz with a voltage of 1.170v, and 6GB of RAM. Could you offer some assistance?

So when you say crash, do you mean it crashes to desktop, reboots or locks up? If your PC reboots, does the PC shutdown? We need specifics, please.

The initial attempt to run Furmark caused the program to abruptly close and return me to my desktop. The second time, I experienced a white screen of death, followed by a reboot to Windows.

I restarted on my own, and I can listen to my friends via Discord, though the display is blank.

My computer's overclocking was problematic, and once I reverted it to its default settings, the crashes ceased. That's good; thank you for your message though.

It’s quite unsettling. Could you assist me? G3258 is running on full automation with a GTX 660ti, utilizing an 800 Aero Cool silver 80plus. I require assistance.

Could you provide a detailed hardware specification? Please include the manufacturer and model number of your power supply unit, along with temperature readings for your central processing unit and graphics card?

Greetings,

Here are my current issues:

My system initially displays a resolution of 1024x768 in the Nvidia control panel, which I had to manually adjust to 1080. My computer frequently freezes with white or green screens, sometimes accompanied by rapidly spinning GPU fans and a loud buzzing sound from my headphones. The error message indicates that Nvidia drivers have crashed and been recovered, causing the system to revert to Windows before eventually restarting and stabilizing.

Additionally, my PC occasionally crashes to a blank screen unexpectedly, particularly when running games like CSGO and even Roblox. These crashes are more prevalent within those specific applications. When the display is unresponsive—white, black, or any color—I cannot activate common recovery methods such as Ctrl+Alt+Del or Ctrl+Shift+Esc.

I’ve attempted the following troubleshooting steps:

* Applying new thermal paste to my graphics card.
* Applying new thermal paste to my processor.
* Reinstalling Nvidia drivers using DDU in safe mode.
* Setting my BIOS to the default “Normal” configuration, despite previously having a CPU overclock. This change did not resolve the issue.
* Running memory tests, which were successful.
* Performing Cinebench R15 testing without crashes.
* Experiencing crashes with Furmark.

System specifications:

* PSU: AeroCool (750W, 80+ Silver)
* GPU: GTX 660ti (non-overclocked)
* CPU: G3258 (non-overclocked)
* RAM: 6GB

If you require further details, please request them and I will provide additional information. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you.
