Black screens without BSOD during idle mode?
I’m experiencing difficulties with my newly installed system. When idle—whether on the desktop, while watching videos, or just browsing—I notice my screen goes black and remains so. Occasionally the computer restarts and takes me back to the login screen, while other times it stays black without returning even after pressing control+, Windows, Shift, and B. What confuses me is that the system doesn’t crash when under heavy load. I’ve tried running a game in the background to keep it running while I browse, but troubleshooting hasn’t yielded results. I’ve replaced the graphics card, updated drivers, reset the PC multiple times, and even reinstalled Windows 10. A local technician suggested possible LiveKernelEvent codes, but most of them point to graphics card issues. Despite having the same model as my old PC (3060ti), I’m still facing this problem. I’ve also run a display driver uninstall and reinstalled the latest NVIDIA drivers as of April 17, 2025. My hardware includes a Ryzen 7 7800X3D with an AIO 240mm graphics card, 32GB Corsair RAM at 6000MHz, and a motherboard that supports MSI B650 MagMortar WiFi Thermaltake M.2.
