Black screen/no signal and error code 43 detected with RX6800XT
Hey everyone!
I just got a used RX6800XT and after connecting it to my PC it’s not displaying anything—just a black screen or no signal. So I switched to my old RX580 because it doesn’t have an integrated GPU. It shows up a yellow warning icon with error code 43 in the device manager, and I tried flashing the GPU BIOS, using DDU, reinstalling drivers, and using atikmdag, but nothing helped. I’m really counting on your advice.
GPU: RX6800XT 16GB and RX580 8GB

Motherboard: AsRock B450 Pro-F
Motherboard BIOS Version: 7.40
RAM: 32GB (16x2) G.Skill Ripjaws V Series 2133MHZ CL16
PSU: VINGA VPS-1200PL 1200W 80+ Platinum
OS: Windows 10 Pro 22H2 (19045.5737)
GPU Drivers: AMD Software: Adrenalin edition 25.3.2
Chipset Drivers: I don’t know what to do
Welcome to the forums, newcomer!
Use GPU-Z and see if any fields are showing zero(0)'s. If so, your GPU is gone. You should RMA the GPU if you yet have warranty on said GPU. You've mentioned that the GPU was bought used, I'd return the GPU/ask for a refund. There's nothing you can do to fix it.
Have you considered checking if the GPU needs repair? Maybe re-soldering the memory chips could help.
It would be cheaper to request a refund and purchase another one, preferably from a different seller.
Additionally, locating the chipset driver version is straightforward—visit the Windows settings, then 'Installed apps,' and search for AMD Chipset drivers. If not found, it’s likely because no drivers are installed, which you should address to ensure your CPU runs at its best.
