Adjusted my 8350 to 4.7 ghz on my MSI 970 gaming board and immediately after rebooting, I encountered a black screen with no BIOS or OS access available.

will need to clear the CMOS and reset everything. beginning with a full overclock. it makes sense that it wasn't a stable overclock, as around 4.7ghz piledriver hits the "voltage wall," requiring much bigger voltage increases for each additional 100mhz of clock speed gained.

disconnect the power source (remove the plug), allow the MB to drain for 10 minutes, then clear the CMOS jumper to check if the MB resets.
