I was on a Zoom call when the display began flashing and then completely stopped. I restarted the laptop by holding the power button and then turning it back on. Now the only result is a black screen after startup, even while logging in. I can open Microsoft Edge, but it only appears when I move the mouse or scroll. When I stop doing that, the screen either flashes or turns black entirely. The taskbar disappears when I press the Windows button, and opening Task Manager with alt+ctrl+del doesn’t work no matter how much I move the mouse or scroll. The options remain visible even after pressing keys, as the cursor changes in the center of the screen. What should I do to resolve this? Here’s a video showing what my screen looks like and when I tried pressing alt+ctrl+del.

Unusual situation. Possible reasons are a window glitch or software bug, or a GPU driver issue. Are you using a dual graphics laptop or an integrated/dedicated one? You might clear GPU drivers with DDU.

It's an MSI GE66 Raider from 2020, and you think it has two graphics cards.

For me looks like conflict between Integrated graphics and dedicated graphics. Disable one graphics card and try from integrated graphics.

I resolved it. It seems the issue originated from the wallpaper engine. I stopped running both the wallpaper engine and Edge to check if the task manager was functioning correctly, and after restarting the laptop everything returned to normal. Appreciate the assistance even though I couldn't apply your advice.
