Hey everyone, I've been facing some issues for about a month now. It seems like the problem could be with either my GPU or power supply unit. No matter what I do—gaming, browsing, or chatting—I keep seeing a black screen and a signal loss. The computer still works fine otherwise; I can hear my friends on Discord and watch videos on YouTube. When I try to restart after the issue, the motherboard's VGA light turns red, which stops me from booting up.

To fix it, I've been swapping one PCI-E power connector for another. Each time I reboot after doing this, the graphics card shows up as disabled in Device Manager. I can enable it, but AMD software throws a driver error. After restarting, the PC runs properly until the same black screen and signal problems return.

I'm using a Cooler Master MWE 700W Bronze V2 230V PSU. Some forums suggest not connecting the standard PCI-E cable directly to the graphics card, but I can't avoid it since my PSU has four PCI-E connectors—two with extra cables for each. I've attached an image of the cable type for clarity.

I've tried updating drivers, updating BIOS, disabling zero RPM in AMD software, adjusting power limits, switching to Windows 10 instead of 11, changing the PCI-E generator mode, reseating the card, and more. What seems to be the issue? I suspect a PSU problem, but I'm hesitant to replace it without confirming it's the cause. I might consider a 750W gold-certified PSU, though prices in Turkey are quite steep.

My specs: Motherboard MSI B350M Mortar (latest BIOS), RAM GSkill FlareX 2x8 DDR4 16GB, CPU Ryzen 5 5600, GPU AMD ASRock Taichi RX 6800 XT, PSU Cooler Master MWE 700W Bronze v2 230V.

Hi, Chronosis seemed to be an issue I encountered before. In my case, it was with my GPU Vega 56 after installing various driver updates. I also tried using a temporary fix by pressing the Window key plus Ctrl plus Shift plus B to refresh the GPU driver. Hope this helps!

Thank you for the guidance. I'll try it whenever I face the issue.

If your power supply only has two PCIe cables while your GPU requires three 8-pin connectors, don't rely on one of the additional six-and-two-pin options. Instead, use a dual 6-pin to 8-pin adapter. This will help balance the power delivery and improve stability. For the PSU, opt for an 850W unit regardless of whether it's silver or bronze—just ensure it has solid reviews. You might also consider updating your GPU BIOS, especially if you're using a used model.

It seems there might be an issue with the power supply unit. I noticed the windowed panel shifted during removal, causing the PCI connectors to move slightly, which led to the black screen and signal errors. You might want to consider replacing the PSU.
