Hi,
Not sure if it is the right forum topic but here goes....
Even on a fresh install of Windows, from a cold boot, bios displays without issue, but once windows load I am left with either a black screen or a black screen with a cursor. Forcing a restart the issue is gone but every time I do a cold boot the same issue appears.
I have checked cables tried different ones and tried with different inputs but still no dice. All drivers up to date, no integrity violations, all apps are official, just can't see any cause. All windows updated are installed including the latest preview which I know is a big one, unless that is the cause?
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated

Looking for control panel
select
Power Options
click
Pick what the power button does
If Turn on fast startup is checked, don’t want it.
If it’s off, a restart might solve the issue. Since a restart shouldn’t affect cold starts when fast startup is disabled.
