It was claimed the modding tools could support map creation and game modes.
I hold a completely different view about Treyarch compared to yours. So far, I've only had negative experiences with their titles. Still, I purchased the newest one just to stay optimistic. I plan to try it this weekend despite the beta being unusable for me. I'm hoping zombies and mod tools will actually make things better.
The modding tools altered the game in some way for me. At least we can enjoy other modded titles created by others rather than just the usual standard modes. I doubt the multiplayer will be as well received as before, aside from the ghosts, and I’m curious if zombies might convince me to buy it.
I've been playing it all day. It's great. There is a memory leak when you set the textures to extra which I think they are working on. So I have it on high right now, other than that it's great..zombies is good too.
I tried the beta but didn’t enjoy it. After that point, I stopped playing CoD on consoles around Black Ops II. The experience became strange and I didn’t like the series afterward. The games no longer feel like CoD titles. I might consider buying it in a few years when it drops to $10 if the modding scene succeeds, otherwise I’ll stick with CoD4 as my preferred choice.
I've heard many opinions saying that appreciating futuristic elements is a positive trait, but I prefer classic sci-fi and historical themes. No modern influences here.
I declined all four options because I've played too much over time. I'm hoping to revisit this when prices fall, but CoD games rarely drop in price and I don't want to deal with a questionable grey market seller trying to get a fair deal even years later.
I've played a few matches already and I'm getting tired of it. I can't keep the settings at 1080p for 60 fps. I need 80% scaling and high performance. The whole screen is covered in uneven shadows that keep flickering, which makes it hard to concentrate and causes frame drops. My mouse feels strange even though smoothing is off. The gameplay hasn't changed much from the old version. I don't like the fact that you can be hit from any direction since everyone can jump anywhere, making tactics useless. That's why I'm not into these modern shooters anymore. Everyone seems to rely on the same "spray and pray" approach, just like in other games. I'd rather go back to MW2 and never come back.
Yes to everything. The launch had issues, but fixing the .ini files seems possible. Not perfect, but games usually have rough starts these days. Except for performance (maybe only on the first run), the PC version got good feedback thanks to modding and mapping, and the field of view now reaches 120. This should be my comeback to the series—I really hated Mw2 but kept playing it anyway.
