I rely heavily on my 14-inch laptop for work, gaming, and creating content. It requires a high-performance machine that should serve me well for at least three years. I can't use Apple devices because the necessary software isn't supported.
With Intel Alder Lake and DDR5 on the horizon, is now the right time to purchase or wait?
My current model is an MSI GS43VR 7RE—a great machine, but it has suffered some wear over the past few years. I've replaced the battery and the GPU fan may need attention soon. It also lacks Windows 11 support due to the 7th generation Intel chip.
How severe will the supply chain problems be? Could laptops become costly or difficult to obtain in 2022?
