My sibling recently put away his computer and let me borrow his Vega 56. It's a Sapphire Pulse model. I replaced it with my 1060 3G, removed the old drivers using DDU, and started playing some games. The first odd occurrence was that my FPS remained similar to the old setup, and the games would stutter a lot, particularly when switching locations. After about ten minutes, the screen would go black, requiring me to restart the PC. I've searched for fixes but found some similar reports. Most users with Gigabyte cards reported a manufacturing defect causing crashes and overheating fans, while mine keeps fans running at normal speed and still shows some sound effects. I've tried various solutions—uninstalling drivers, using Windows-installed drivers, increasing power limits, using two power cables, lowering GPU speed—but none worked. I also considered reinstalling Windows, though my brother says he's experienced similar problems but his system didn't crash as often. Here are my system details: ROG Strix B350-F Gaming Ryzen 5 1600 Sapphire Radeon RX Vega 56 Pulse Crucial Ballistix Sport LT 2x8 GB 2400 MHz Seasonic M12II EVO 620 512 GB NVMe SSD, 2TB HDD. For now, I've switched to my old 1060, but I'd love to try the newer one, especially since its 3 GB VRAM is too small for many modern titles. Any suggestions?
