Hey everyone, I recently swapped in a new M.2 drive and had to remove my GPU. Now the PC boots up black, and I can’t even access BIOS. I’ve tried swapping it out with an old drive, repositioning the GPU, changing RAM sticks, and even different CPU slots, but nothing works. My CPU model is listed below, and I’m not using any built-in graphics. Any advice or guidance would be super helpful. (If you missed anything important, just let me know!)
Ensure only CPU, RAM, and GPU are present. Check if the system starts on the screen. Adjust or store BIOS configurations. Once confirmed, update the BIOS to the newest version and go through the same process before reinserting the M.2 drives.
Thanks for your quick reply! By "cable" you're referring to the GPU power cable. All my fans, RGB on CPU or case, and the GPU itself are functioning properly—just no display at all.
No other components were taken out—just the GPU. Are there any lights on your motherboard? I don’t see any in your manual, and there’s no indication of power LEDs or diagnostic signals.

In the past hour I’ve tested various setups—old harddrive only, just M.2, both HDD and M.2, swapped GPUs, tried RAM sticks separately in all slots, reset CMOS via pins and removed battery—still nothing. I think this points to CPU, motherboard, or PSU issues. The motherboard/CPU are barely over a year old, which is odd given how confused I am about why everything failed after a quick M.2 installation. It’s frustrating watching the PCs’ behavior get worse with each attempt.
