I've had a different outcome with webroot. Recently, Kaspersky introduced a feature that blocks encryptors, while AVG performs poorly in this area. Norton clearly underdelivers as a paid antivirus solution.

I stopped relying on anti-virus and anti-malware tools a while ago. Now I just use Windows Defender with the standard plugin (avoiding illegal torrents). It's free and performs well!

I've been using Kaspersky for a few years now and can definitely suggest it. Bitdefender is also quite solid. If your Kaspersky license isn't yet active, wait for it to expire and then switch to Bitdefender.
