I recently purchased a motherboard without realizing it lacks support for Motherboard Bios Flash and needs Instant Flash during startup. This is my first build, so I’m using the original CPUs and haven’t tried booting with BIOS yet. Unless my Ryzen 7 5800X is incompatible, it shouldn’t boot to BIOS. Should I accept this and switch to a different board that supports non-CPU flash, or find one compatible with my 5800X?

Typically, most makers provide a complimentary BIOS update via their RMA process. Reach out to MSI to discover their options for you. AMD also ran a BIOS update initiative where they would dispatch a suitable CPU and ask you to return it after installation.
