Bios update failed, VGA light changed.
Hey everyone, I’m really struggling right now. I’m a beginner building my PC and it’s got all these issues. My specs are pretty standard: Ryzen 5 2600 B450, Aorus Elite v2, RTX 2060, 600W power supply, 1TB SSD, 128GB SSD, 2x8GB RAM. I’ve been studying because I have an exam, but my PC keeps crashing with a blue screen. It says “IRL not less or equal.” I’ve tried updating drivers, Windows updates, checking for malware, running diagnostics, and even using the command prompt. But nothing works except the last one, which still shows the same error.
My BIOS says it’s from 2019, so I think it might be outdated. I checked the Gigabyte site and downloaded a newer BIOS (version F52), but after updating, it worked fine. I also checked my NVIDIA drivers and ran some compatibility tests, but Java was required. I downloaded that too and waited less than an hour for the blue screen to appear again after a restart.
The screen isn’t showing anything, fans are spinning, RAM is fine, AIO is working, keyboard and mouse are okay except the screen. I tried removing the CMOS battery, reseating the GPU in a different PCI slot, and even putting it in the second slot. Still nothing.
I’m a nurse by profession, working hard for my patients during the pandemic, and this PC was a gift for myself. I’m not an expert, just trying to fix it myself. I don’t have any money for new parts, and I’m worried about my setup. Can anyone help me? I really need advice!
Your CPU might have failed due to a motherboard issue, even if you didn’t overclock it. It’s possible the BIOS update or driver problems are affecting performance. Check if the new BIOS (f52) is compatible with your motherboard and ensure all drivers are up to date.
