I received a new PC without an M.2 slot, so I proceeded to format the 2.5'' SSD that was originally in my laptop and later installed in the M.2 drive. Initially everything looked fine when checking the BIOS list of available boot drives. However, during the Windows installation on the M.2 it stopped recognizing it as a bootable drive, even though it remained in the BIOS settings. I experimented with adjusting BIOS parameters to resolve the issue—since I also needed to boot from the installation media—but eventually reset everything back to its factory state without success.

Hmm, are you asking if your laptop has both a 2.5" SSD and an M.2 SSD? You've got the 2.5" one set as the boot option while the M.2 is installed. Windows likely put the bootloader on the 2.5" drive instead of the M.2, since it installs the bootloader into the correct drive when multiple are connected during setup. If you want the M.2 to boot, you might need to reinstall Windows without the other drive or create a new partition on the M.2 drive yourself. Apologies for the oversight—I didn't note that the 2.5" is now on the other PC. When I access boot settings on the laptop, it displays only network and USB options, while Windows creates a fresh partition on the M.2 drive. Afterward, the system restarts, sometimes indicating no valid boot drive or using the USB to restart the Windows setup completely.
