I recently changed my motherboard and CPU to a B550M from Gigabyte with a Ryzen 5 5500. It has been functioning perfectly for several days now. Today I thought about turning on XMP in the BIOS, using the same two 8GB RAM sticks I had before. On my previous setup, XMP was already enabled, but after saving and exiting, my screen went black on both the GPU and motherboard HDMI ports, and the PC didn’t shut down. The fans are still active, but pressing the power button or restarting doesn’t work. I don’t want to cut power while it’s still running, but I’m unsure what else I can do.

I should also note that I've installed all the drivers and updated the BIOS to the most recent release.

When not relying on any storage device (HDD or SSD), it doesn't affect much. Power it down and reset the CMOS.

Sure thing! It looks like the issue might have been fixed by re-enabling XMP in the BIOS. Let me know if you need more help.
