Hey! I recently upgraded my setup with a Gigabyte B650 Eagle motherboard and a Ryzen 9 7900 processor. My GTX 1070 GPU is still in use, but I plan to replace it later. Since my CPU is important for work, I’m facing a problem: I can’t see anything until after the OS loads on my monitors connected to the GPU. Only the integrated graphics are showing, even though I set it as the main display in settings. I’ve tried turning off the iGPU, but nothing works—so I had to reset my CMOS. I updated my BIOS to the latest version. I have two iiyama displays linked via DisplayPort, and previously my MOBO+CPU setup worked fine with the GPU. Some online sources mentioned a GTX 1070 firmware update for DisplayPort, but I haven’t applied it yet. Even without the update, I suspect an HDMI or DVI output would help. I’ve reset my GPU several times and it functions normally after boot. The BIOS isn’t my main worry, but the bootloader I use is. I’m dual-booting Linux and Windows for a specific task, which makes choosing an OS frustrating without a clear display. Any advice would be greatly appreciated—I’m struggling to find a solution and feel a bit stuck.

Get the latest dp firmware for GTX 10 models or earlier from the official source. Ensure fast boot matches the configuration in Windows by setting it to fast startup in the control panel under power options.

It's quite awkward to admit this was the answer, since I even referenced the update myself. I just didn't have the motivation to restart Windows for this fix. The issue with getting output via DVI or HDMI made me suspect something else, but ultimately the update succeeded. Thank you a lot.
