BIOS recognizes storage devices yet fails to start Windows 10.
Today I played Need For Speed Payback and enjoyed it. I took a break, finished all my sign-ups, and let the computer idle. About an hour later I came back and tried to restart it. It was still on, fans spinning, lights blinking, but the screen was blank. I reset it and it loaded a black page saying there was no boot device—just plug one in and press a key to start. I checked the BIOS and both drives were listed. How can I bypass the installation again? Thanks ahead of time.
It seems there might be an issue with the boot record. You can try using a Windows install disc or USB to attempt a repair. For Windows 10/8.1, generating a bootable disc and selecting "Repair your computer" followed by "Startup Repair" may help. If that doesn't work, you may need to manually fix the Master Boot Record.
