It’s unclear whether the stick in slot A1 reports zero GB or if this applies to any slot. It seems like a faulty device or memory card might be involved.

Apologies for the mix-up. The slot displays 0GB no matter which stick you use. It worked before the new CPU, and testing the old one shows the same issue—bios updates might have disabled it.

Since 8.01 is already a beta release, it's probably best to wait for later updates. I think 8.01 came out before the 5700x3d version, which could explain this issue.

I also have it, 2700x. I repeated the process, same outcome. Just got lucky and managed to retrieve a CMOS cable, but after 10 minutes it seems ineffective too.
