You're experiencing memory issues on your ASRock B450 gaming board. The BIOS reports 0GB and 8GB slots, but only 1.83GB is visible. After trying CMOS reset, swapping RAM sticks, and adjusting the CPU cooler, the problem persists. It seems the memory module might not be seated correctly or there could be a hardware fault. Consider checking the RAM installation, testing with a different RAM stick, or consulting the manufacturer's support for further diagnosis.
It’s unclear whether the stick in slot A1 reports zero GB or if this applies to any slot. It seems like a faulty device or memory card might be involved.
Apologies for the mix-up. The slot displays 0GB no matter which stick you use. It worked before the new CPU, and testing the old one shows the same issue—bios updates might have disabled it.
The newest update remains unchanged, identical narrative continues.
That sounds concerning. Do you still have the previous CPU model?
I also have it, 2700x. I repeated the process, same outcome. Just got lucky and managed to retrieve a CMOS cable, but after 10 minutes it seems ineffective too.
