Bios no registra SSD M.2
Bios no registra SSD M.2
I'm using a gigabyte B550 X V2 board and a Kingston NV1 M.2 SSD 1TB. I've been setting up this PC for several days now. Finally, everything started working, but when I power on the machine, the SSD isn't showing in BIOS. I've tried restarting, removing it and reinserting it, but nothing changes. I can't access Windows or perform any tasks because it doesn't detect. Anyone else had similar issues with this board? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
Ensure the M.2 is placed in the nearest CPU slot and relocate it to the lower position on the motherboard.
yep, looks good to me. does anyone of your friends have a semi-recent pc or a laptop? with an m2 slot? like test your drive in theirs to see if it gets detected. also, there is a newer bios available, but changelog doesn't say anything about the nvme compatibility.
Based on the audio cues and the issue in both slots, it seems like a dead battery part. I’d send it back for a replacement unit.
Verify if the M.2 slot is configured for SSD or PCIe/NVMe according to the BIOS settings.
