Bios no longer recognizes M.2 device
I was experimenting with TPM 2.0 and secure boot in my BIOS to replay Valorant. Recently, my M.2 drive with Windows isn’t showing up in the BIOS, and I’m having trouble booting properly. Sometimes I get stuck in a loop or see warnings about missing the correct boot device—tell me if you can help.
Step 1: Go to the boot menu on startup and see if your M.2 appears. If not... Step 2: Reset CMOS. If it still doesn't boot automatically, repeat step 1. Sometimes Windows just needs to be reminded, for lack of a better term. If that fails... Step 3: Remove and reinsert the M.2 drive Odds are a CMOS reset fixes it
It shouldn't cause issues long-term, but keep an eye on performance if you notice any changes.
