I changed the BIOS settings on my Asus ROG Strix X570-I Gaming to version 5013 and it finished the update, then restarted. But it didn’t boot again. Later I powered it off and back on without success. When I moved it to a different monitor, it started posting and asked a yes/no question about BitLocker. I selected the option if it wasn’t enabled. After that, it behaved the same as before—it was turned on but not displaying anything or showing a prompt. I’m unsure what to do next. Any advice would be great.
Did you reset the battery jump to clear the CMOS pins for about ten seconds? Did you also try using a different monitor resolution? (apart from what was noted earlier). If not, your main options are either installing a hidden GPU or removing your storage device. Otherwise, consider purchasing a new MOBO or a BIOS flash kit—MOBO is usually more affordable. *Note: You might want to update your profile, assuming you're not using the 4790k model.*
The post state LEDs indicate a VGA problem. This information is found on page 24 in the manual.
I solved it. The BIOS reset reset all its configurations, so it switched the PCI-E setting back to Auto. My case uses a GPU riser that supports only PCI-E 3.0. With a 3080 Ti installed, the board initially saw a PCI-E 4.0 GPU, but because the riser is limited to 3.0, nothing appeared on the screen. I had to swap it out for a PCI-E 3.0 GPU, which I was lucky to have a 750 Ti available. Now I just need to adjust the settings so it only accepts PCI-E 3.0 and not Auto mode.
