BIOS fails to recognize the second NVMe SSD.
I acquired a new laptop with an additional NVMe port that you could use without taking it apart. I installed my existing NVMe SSD and it wasn’t being read by the FSR. When I connected it back to my old laptop, it worked perfectly, so I suspected there might be a BIOS setting enabling the extra slot. I’ve spent hours adjusting settings but haven’t seen the other SSD appear. I’m considering using the internal NVMe port but don’t want to open the laptop since the warranty would be voided. If there’s a specific setting I need to enable first, let me know. CPU: AMD Ryzen 5500U Storage: Kingston Design-In NVMe SSD
We need the precise model and make of your laptop for assistance. It seems to be a standard M.2 SATA port, which isn't compatible with NVMe drives. Although M.2 SATA is outdated, some older laptops and desktops still include it as an expansion option.
