Hello everyone, I'm using an ASUS B-350M-A Prime board with a 256GB M.2 Crucial MX300 as my boot storage. I've been running my PC in this configuration for some time. Initially, I installed both a 1TB WD Blue and a 500GB 860 Evo SSD for additional space. When I first connected the drives, neither was recognized by the BIOS. I suspected faulty SATA cables, so I replaced them without success. The issue doesn't seem related to power since the peripheral cable also powers my case fans, which spin up when I power on the PC. I unplugged the WD Blue to test if switching to the 860 Evo would help, but it didn't make a difference. I've flashed the BIOS, installed chipset drivers, used the Samsung Magician app, yet detection remains problematic. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Yes, the HDD spins continuously when it is connected to a power source and operating within its functional range.

I own the identical motherboard. Are there any M.2 drives present? If so, that’s likely the issue—they’re occupying some SATA ports. Test each port with the drives.

Thanks a lot! I hadn't noticed those extra SATA connections under the GPU, but the tips were exactly what I needed.
