BIOS doesn't recognize the M.2 SSD.
Your setup includes a H610M-DA motherboard, an Intel i5-12400IF processor, and an RTX 4060 graphics card. You already had a second M.2 SSD, but when you tried to install another one it didn’t appear in the BIOS or elsewhere. It’s possible there aren’t enough PCIe lanes available for additional drives.
It relies on the installation method you used. Are you referring to adding a second SSD to that motherboard or swapping it out with another? Based on ASUS's information, your board only supports one M.2 slot. Regarding the PCI-e connections, you should be fine. You'll likely need at least three M.2 slots to accommodate the required lanes.
I believe you're examining the incorrect motherboard initially. It's not the ASUS PRIME H610M-D D4, but rather the Mancer H610M-DA. This chipset includes two M.2 ports, though the second is limited to PCIe 3.0 x2. Regardless, we need to determine whether the SSDs are PCIe or SATA. From my research, only one of these slots accommodates SATA SSDs. The board should have compatible ports for the CPUs it supports.
The original reference was H610M -DA . The ASUS board is referred to as H610M -D D4. Only the Mancer board matches the exact name. This is the first time I've encountered them. From the URL, it seems they are a Brazilian manufacturer. You can't run both ports simultaneously. What I meant was that there would be no unused port on the motherboard, since the CPU lacked sufficient lanes. That makes sense if, for example, 14th generation Intel chips had more lanes than 12th gen, and the board indicated certain ports are only compatible with 14th gen. I prefer not to jump to conclusions, which is why I sought clarification.
