Bios detects M.2 SSD, diskpart and disk management don't show it
I purchased a new Crucial P5 Plus 2TB SSD. The device appears in the BIOS (NVMe settings), Device Manager, and CrystalDiskInfo, but it doesn't show up in the BIOS under SATA settings for M.2. Disk Management and DiskPart don't list it either. The motherboard model is Prime A520M-K from ASUS CSM, and the M.2 slot isn't visible in onboard devices.
The one is straightforward. Installing a M.2 PCIe SSD won't show up as a M.2 SATA SSD. These are distinct storage options. Unless required, turn off CSM. This setting applies to older boot devices and might be the reason your M.2 isn't being recognized correctly. I don't have that exact board, but typically M.2 PCIe drives show up automatically after installation unless they compete for bandwidth with a SATA port, for instance.
